Apparently Jacob, the son of Lehi and the brother of Nephi, is one of the select few persons who was visited by the pre-earthly Savior. In 2 Nephi 2:4 Nephi says concerning Jacob, "Thou hast beheld in thy youth" the glory of the Redeemer. In a later statement Nephi mentioned that Isaiah had seen "my Redeemer, even as I have seen him. And my brother, Jacob, also has seen him as I have seen him." (2 Nephi 11:2-3.)
