Observe the Statutes and Judgments of the Lord

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Rebellion is slavery. Obedience is the price for liberty.

Statutes and judgments. A statute is a legislative enactment; any authoritatively declared rule, ordinance, decree or law.

A judgment may be a sentence pronounced by God as the Supreme Judge. Or, it may be a ruling, when a statute needs an explanation. Such rulings may come through the inspired word of the Lord, either written or spoken by his authorized servants.
