“Satan Has No Power”

Brant Gardner

While verse 15 affirms that Satan will someday have no more power over humankind, this passage clarifies how his “binding” will occur. Rather than divine overpowering, individual hearts and souls will so desire righteousness that Satan will have no power to make them yield to temptation. Since the change that binds Satan occurs within our own hearts, our personal binding of Satan’s influence need not wait for the millennium.
