These are Nephi’s own words given as a warning and an incentive to be righteous and escape the destruction of the wicked at the Second Coming. There are two specific warnings: do not harden your heart against the Holy One of Israel; and do not fight against Zion. Zion, as used here has reference to a people “of one heart and one mind, and [who] dwelt in righteousness” (Moses 7:18).
