The Lord says it will come to pass just as he has promised. The humble captives of Israelite descent, who have been trodden down for many centuries by their Gentile overlords, will be delivered from their power. They will be a great and delightsome people and they who contend against them will find that the Lord is intervening in their behalf in many remarkable ways to save the children of Israel. Nephi comments on these passages and says that the standard which will be raised up among the Gentiles will the restoration of the gospel and the renewal of God's covenant with all of those who repent and join God's kingdom.5
