“Give Place to Me That I May Dwell”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

Zion shall flourish upon the hills and rejoice upon the mountains, and shall be assembled together unto the place which I have appointed, saith the Lord (D&C 49:25). The place of gathering has been established, and there is “none other place appointed,” we are told, “until the day cometh when there is found no more room for them; and then I have other places which I will appoint unto them, and they shall be called stakes, for the curtains or the strength of Zion” (see D&C 101:20-21; Isaiah 54:2-3; 3 Nephi 22:2-3). The stakes of Zion are the gathering places for Latter-day Israel (see D&C 115:5-6).
