“He Hid Me”
To Joseph Smith and others who had embraced the newly restored gospel the Lord said: “Ye are lawful heirs, according to the flesh and have been hid from the world with Christ in God” (D&C 86:9). Those called to establish the kingdom of God on earth in this last great gospel dispensation were the literal seed of Abraham (D&C 132:30) and as such were lawful heirs to the priesthood (Abraham 2:11), whose lineage was preserved by the hand of God for this very purpose.
