“Listen, O Isles, Unto Me”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Great are the promises of the Lord unto them who are upon the isles of the sea, explained Nephi. “Wherefore as it says isles, there must needs be more than this [meaning the Americas], and they are inhabited also by our brethren.” (2 Nephi 10:21.) Wickedness in the house of Israel caused the Lord to transplant various branches of the house of Israel throughout the world. The same wickedness prevented those in the old World from knowing about their brethren who had thus been scattered. (3 Nephi 15:19-20.)
