As soon as the colony had landed, they prepared the soil for the seed they had brought with them. So did the pioneers that first came to Salt Lake valley for permanent settlement. Perhaps they found in this account of the Book of Mormon a needed inspiration. The soil was fertile, and they had an abundant harvest.
