“Two Sons”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

We are here informed that two sons, Jacob and Joseph, were born to Lehi in the wilderness. How many more were born during the journey to the sea we know not. But they were eight years in the wilderness. (See 1 Ne. 16:7); Jacob and Joseph and others who may have been born in the wilderness. Elder George Reynolds ("Story of the Book of Mormon," p. 44) estimates the entire number that landed in the land of promise at from 60 to 80 souls.
