“Should Be Inhabited”

Worlds are created to be inhabited. Christ is the creator of worlds without number (see Moses 1:33; Moses 7:30). These worlds are peopled by the children of our Eternal Father (see D&C 76:24). They, too, are in the image and likeness of God and they, too, have been granted the same promises of eternal life through the atonement of Christ and by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. Joseph Smith summarized these truths in poetic form as follows:
