“The Justice of God”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

The gulf represented by the contaminated water is not the only separating obstacle between the righteous and the wicked, saints and sinners. The justice of God also stands between the two camps. In the vision of Lehi, this appeared like a flaming fire, ever ascending toward heaven. Note that the fountain of this contaminated river is the "depth of hell," and that the wars that ensued between the descendants of Lehi originated in those depths. (16)
