Nephi is granted a view of the restoration of the word of God in the latter days. The word of God, in purity and fulness, gives to mankind the essential compass for navigating the perilous landscape of mortality. In a sense, we are all bound for a promised land, moving through uncharted seas but endowed with the dependable and steady lodestar of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to guide our journey.
