Yahweh’s judgment is the Lehites’ just deserts, a remnant of the house of Israel. That judgment was domination by the Gentiles, yet it had a redemptive purpose: to bring forth the gospel through them. Note the repetition of “plain and precious.” That which was lost is being restored to them. The truth they desired and lacked will be given to them.
