“Nephi saw Jesus’ ministry, his crucifixion, the fight of the house of Israel and the proud world against the Twelve Apostles and the early Church, and the fall and destruction of the world’s pride. This passage is one of the most frightening in scripture, for we see that no one is immune to the influence of the world. The ‘house of Israel’ gathered to ‘fight against the twelve apostles.’ Church members today must be ever vigilant” (Ogden and Skinner, Book of Mormon, 1:55).
