Now we come to a brief editorial by Nephi concerning his writings. He wants us to know that the record we are now reading was very carefully prepared as a missionary treatise. Here is what he says:
Here is Nephi back around 600 B.C. talking about God's plan of salvation. Nephi does not intend to burden this record with a genealogy or historical events. He wants to testify concerning the message of God to the children of men.
