“My Father… Was Exceedingly Glad”

Perhaps no pain is more poignant than the pain associated with witnessing loved ones choose to disobey the Lord and ignore his holy counsels or those of his servants. On the other hand, no joy is greater than that associated with witnessing the seed of faith beginning to blossom in the hearts of those within the family fold. Lehi’s heart must have been full as he heard the testimony of his noble son and realized that Nephi was secure in the faith and grounded in testimony.
