“Thy Brothers Murmur”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
Like so many of the people of the world, Laman and Lemuel viewed Lehi’s request (the Lord’s command) as inconvenient and unnecessary; those blinded by selfishness and overly influenced by the cares of the temporal world find the doings of God to be strange and incomprehensible. Those with spiritual vision—like Nephi—are anxious to please the Lord and are eager to know the mind and will of him who knows the end from the beginning.
