“Grieved Because of the Hardness of Their Hearts”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet
There was no spite or self-righteousness in Nephi, no striking back, no attempts to dominate his brothers. Rather, Nephi mourned over his brothers“ waywardness, just as Lehi did. (1 Nephi 8:4, 17-18.) He pleaded with the heavens in their behalf, constantly hoping for a softening of their hearts.”
