“Who Sought to Take Away the Life of My Father”

W. Cleon Skousen

No doubt the fact that Lehi received his last two visions while in a dream gave an excuse to Laman and Lemuel to ridicule their father and argue that this journey was an illusionary adventure based on dreams. They had made Lehi's life totally miserable on this journey and when they failed to respond to his gesture of kindness in naming the river and valley after them, he was completely disgusted with them.
