Religious scholar Albert Bloch identified four types of verse in ancient desert poetry, and Lehi’s qasida (see 1 Nephi 2:9–10) meets three of the types. This conformation to an ancient form of poetry is yet another proof of the authenticity of the Book of Mormon. (See Echoes, 461–462.)
