“Tender Mercies”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

Remember that the tender mercies of God are extended to all who act with faith, even unto deliverance. Nephi echoes the words of his father, who sounded this theme of mercy following his marvelous vision concerning the Savior (see 1 Nephi 1:14).

The Book of Mormon pervasively demonstrates the goodness and mercy of God, and Moroni asks that we ponder it in our hearts (see Moroni 10:3). In the title page, Moroni reminds us that the Book of Mormon will show the House of Israel what great things the Lord has done for them. Recognizing and remembering the goodness and mercy of God in our lives increases our love for God, helps us be humble, and fills our hearts with gratitude.
