Lehi\'s Calling and Vision

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

During the first year of the reign of Zedekiah, Lehi was prompted to pray for his people. While thus engaged, a pillar of fire, resting on a rock, appeared before him. While gazing upon this wonder, he heard and saw many things, undoubtedly referring to the history of the people which made him tremble exceedingly. Returning to the house exhausted, he "cast himself upon his bed" (v.7). It was then he saw God sitting upon his throne, surrounded with angels and praising their God.
