“They Were Large and Mighty Men as to the Strength of Men”

Redaction: Either Ether or Moroni may have written the description: “they were large and mighty men as to the strength of men.” However, Moroni would have survived a battle like the one Ether describes. He would have first-hand knowledge of the survivors’ characteristics. Therefore, I lean toward the hypothesis that Moroni wrote this phrase in admiration of the soldiers’ fighting prowess, though not of their cause.
