Prosperity apparently returned in proportion to (“inasamuch as they did”) the people’s repentance. Shiblom is slain, presumably by his brother, although Moroni does not say so. This brother apparently seizes the throne; and in a repetition of a familiar pattern (Ether 10:31), Shiblom’s son Seth lives his entire life in captivity. Nevertheless, his name appears on the king-list, even though he never reigned.
