For some reason Moroni is sensitive about the possibilities that this record may contain some imperfections. He seems to be referring to the incompleteness of the account rather than any defects in the textual structure. In any event, he says he is not going to write any more about the Nephites and Lamanites but closes his account by telling us he is the son of Mormon and his father is a descendant of Nephi.
