“I Know That I Shall Be Lifted Up at the Last Day”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

Even though he had to live in such a sick society, Mormon was assured of exaltation. The Lord gave him promises and spiritual strength to endure the tragic conditions of his countrymen. He had received the more sure word of prophecy and had been visited by the Savior himself (Mormon 1:15), the Second Comforter. See also commentary at Alma 36:28.
