This last verse would indicate that the miraculous manner in which the lives of the three transfigured disciples were preserved actually did convert their persecutors. This is supported by 4 Nephi 1:2 where it says: "the people were all converted unto the Lord, upon all the face of the land." There is also the statement of the Savior in 3 Nephi 27:31 where he refers to all of "them who are now alive of this generation; and none of them are lost."
