By expounding all things—including the mission of Elijah and the turning of the hearts of fathers and children to each other—Jesus may have caused intense temple activity among the Nephite-Lamanite civilization. They must have received an endowment, eternal marriage, and other sacred ordinances. What and how much they did in their labors for the dead remains to be revealed.
