“Healing in His Wings”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

The righteous in the millennial day will enjoy healing and salvation from the Son of Righteousness (one of the Father’s name-titles is Righteousness, therefore the Savior is the Son of Righteousness). Brothers McConkie, Millet, and Top explained that the Son’s rising with “healing in his wings” refers to the “power in his extremities, the power that came from his having had nails driven through his hands and feet. In short, the Son of Righteousness came with the power of the Atonement.”73 The children of the righteous, says Doctrine and Covenants 45:58, “shall grow up without sin unto salvation.” The phrase “calves of the stall” used earlier (1 Nephi 22:24) means to receive special care.
