It must have consumed a great deal of time for the Savior to expound unto His chosen servants all of the scriptures they had written. From this teaching session, they must have come away with a profoundly enriched understanding of the principles and ordinances of the gospel and a mother lode of wisdom to impart to the Saints subsequent to the ministry of the resurrected Lord among them. Our task is to ponder and search the scriptures, wherein are preserved the words of Christ unto the house of Israel and unto all who seek the truth, that we might “teach the things which he had expounded.”
