After smiling upon the twelve, Jesus (for the third time) prays, this time a prayer too “great and marvelous” to be recorded or verbally described. Apparently it was a singular event in human history. Although no subject is recorded, Jesus’s pattern of prayers suggests that it would have been a prayer of thanksgiving.
