The question often arises: Why would the disciples pray to Jesus when he had so recently instructed them to pray to the Father in his name? The Savior himself answered that question: “They pray unto me because I am with them.” One of the Godhead, the Holy One of Israel, was there present, in person, with them; when he departed they would continue to pray, as instructed, to the Father in his name.
