Jesus Commanded His Disciples That They Should Bring Forth Bread and Wine

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Jesus next commanded His Disciples to bring him some bread and wine, and while they were gone to obtain them, He caused the multitude to sit down upon the ground. When the Disciples returned, He took of the bread and brake and blessed it. This He gave to the Disciples to eat and they were then filled with the Holy Spirit. He then commanded them to give it to the people of the multitude. When they had eaten and were likewise filled with the Spirit, Jesus told His Disciples that He would give one of them authority, by ordination, to break bread and bless it, as He had done, and to give it to the members of the Church.
