“The Multitude Did See and Hear and Bear Record; and They Know That Their Record is True”

Mormon takes his account from the written records of the prophets who came before him. These records no doubt contain the statements of those who were present on this extraordinary occasion when the Savior came down among them and taught them these things, ministered unto them, and brought about miraculous events of which they bore their witness. Can one doubt the transcendent benevolence of the Savior in blessing these people with such compassion? Can one not be moved with heartfelt gratitude that these happenings have been recorded for our enrichment and edification in the latter days?
