“The Other Tribes Whom They Know Not Of”

Joseph F. McConkie, Robert L. Millet

If the people in the old World did not inquire of the Lord concerning the Lord’s “other sheep,” both Nephites and ten tribes-and we have no evidence that they ever did-then the Book of Mormon would stand eventually as a sacred record of the fact that he did visit them. The Book of Mormon and the gospel message would be restored through the Gentiles-lineal Israelites but cultural Gentiles the Latter-day Saints (see 1 Nephi 22:7; D&C 109:60)-and then brought to Israel (Lamanites and Jews) in the fast days.
