Jesus identifies himself as the God who gave the law to Moses on the Mount of Sinai: "Behold, I am he that gave the law." (3 Nephi 15:5.) Furthermore, he indicates that through his atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane and at the time of his resurrection he fulfilled the law that he had given unto Moses. (3 Nephi 15:4-8.)
