“Being a Small Voice”

D. Kelly Ogden, Andrew C. Skinner

How will we recognize his voice when he speaks to us? It is not a mysterious, mystical, magical voice, nor harsh, nor loud. If we have dedicated ourselves to studying his words, we have heard his voice (D&C 18:34–36). The quiet impressions, the perceptible revelations, are the voice of God speaking to us. We also hear him speaking to us in the temple. What we hear there is most certainly the voice of God and the will of God for us to hear and obey. Someone said, “Make time for the quiet moments, as God whispers and the world is loud.”
