“The Loss of Their Kindred and Friends”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

The people mourn again for their lost loved ones and associates. Perhaps they are thinking of the process of gathering their own loved ones under their wings—and how the loved ones would not listen to the message of the gospel. Do we have such feelings of anguish and compassion for our loved ones who stray, be they members of our own family circle or those over whom we have responsibility in our Church and community? And do we not have joy when we can, indeed, gather our loved ones to us in their faithfulness and obedience to the Lord’s commandments?
