“Many Great Destructions Have I Caused to Come Upon This Land”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

This land, both North and South America, is the Land of Zion. The land in the north is called by the Book of Mormon the Land of Mulek. We call it America. Translated, it means The Land of the King, or The Land of the Lord, our King. That is The Land of Zion. It is a choice land,)2 and all who dwell thereon, under the penalty of God's displeasure if they do not, shall serve Him. He has appointed us to do His bidding. If we do so, blessings await us; if we do not, justice will be ours. The blessing God promised the fathers of the Nephite and Lamanite races-Lehi and his sons, that those who live in this land and are firm and steadfast in keeping the commandment of the Lord shall be prospered and otherwise blessed-is a promise to us who live here now and those who ever shall, even as it was to the seed of Lehi and Nephi. The Lord does not forget His promises!
