“A Voice Heard Among All the Inhabitants of the Earth”

Brant Gardner

Text: Mormon did not begin a new chapter break at this point, so the dramatic effect of the experience would have built straight from the terrible destructions followed by the lamentation. The people were not only mourning in grief for their losses (3 Ne. 8:24–25); they were also repenting. Their humility and repentance are important precursors to the great blessing of the Messiah’s presence.
