“He Should Not Come to Redeem Them in Their Sins, but to Redeem Them from Their Sins on the Conditions of Repentance”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

This celebrated maxim—that Christ would not come to redeem people in their sins but rather from their sins—conveys the spirit and essence of the Atonement.

We can be saved from our sins through the Atonement of Christ because of His infinite grace and mercy, and because we choose to repent. We have all that is requisite for us to know in order to act on faith unto repentance and salvation.
