It was near the beginning of the year 62 B.C.that Moroni received a letter from Helaman -- the president of the Church -- who was deeply involved in the military action on the western front.
Helaman first rehearsed the covenant of the converted Lamanites -- who were called Anti-Nephi-Lehies -- but who were later called the people of Ammon because he headed up the missionaries that converted them.
