“Blessed Art Thou; and the Lord Shall Prosper Thee in This Land”

Alma pronounces his blessing and turns over guardianship of the plates. Mormon does not focus on the plates, but rather on the blessing. The first blessing, that of “prosper[ing],” is remarkable since Helaman inherited his position in perilous times and lived through an extended period of war. The Lord’s version of “prosper” is not always what we might wish it were.
