“Zerahemnah Stir Up the Remainder of His Soldiers to Anger”

Brant Gardner

Apparently enough time passed for the surrendering Lamanites to give up their weapons and make the covenant. During this time, Zerahemnah must have had the wound bandaged and the flow of blood staunched. He also recovered sufficiently to “stir up” his remaining troops to further combat. Moroni kept his promise to fall upon them. Since the Lamanites were already in an inferior position, the outcome was virtually decided before this part of the battle began.
