As the treasures of heaven are rationed to men according to the preparation they have made, so it is with nations. They too receive of heaven’s light as they have prepared themselves for it and as they are worthy to receive it. Thus, as some people have been favored of God and greatly blessed, conversely some nations and some people have chosen to be hard of heart and to walk in darkness.
