“They Are Consigned to a State of Endless Wo”

W. Cleon Skousen

Mormon reflects on the many thousands of those who were killed before they were ready to return to their Maker. The missionaries had taught the gospel to the Lamanites and Amalekites before they had waged this war but they had rejected the gospel. Now they had died in their sins and according to the warning of the Lord they must be consigned to a state of punishment that will be prolonged in eternity until they have paid the uttermost farthing.
