“He and His Brethren Met Alma and; He Was Swallowed Up in the Joy of His God”

Ed J. Pinegar, Richard J. Allen

The joy of encountering former companions in missionary service is a unique experience not fully comprehended by the world. Upon meeting Alma—whom he had not seen for fourteen years—Ammon collapses with joy. The joy of bringing souls unto Christ and sharing this joy with others is truly a highlight of the mortal experience (see Alma 29:9–10; 36:24). Such joy is received and felt by all those who are penitent and humbly seek happiness. We can receive joy and happiness as we aspire to help people come unto Christ.
