“Now There Was Not One Soul Would Take Up Arms Against Their Brethren”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Anti-Nephi-Lehi, their new king, commanded his subjects not even to make any preparations to meet the oncoming warfare, which he regarded as one in which brother would challenge brother in a struggle for life or death. Among all his people there was not one who disobeyed his mandate. They, as well as he, were filled with a righteous zeal which their new-found faith inspired. They truly loved their brothers. Not one, we repeat, would take up arms even to defend himself.
