In fear, confusion, and conflicting loyalties, the chamber erupts in a heated debate. Obviously Ammon had brought something out of the ordinary into the situation, but was that numinous status beneficent or maleficent? On the one hand, if he was the Great Spirit or the Great Spirit’s messenger, he was a power for good. On the other, a semi-divine “monster” could have both benevolent and malevolent aspects.
